Mobility in Western Europe: Boosting SMBs' Workforce Productivity Through Mobile Solutions and Apps
This IDC study focuses on the adoption of mobile solutions across Western European SMBs and includes results of the IDC European Vertical Markets Survey2014 carried out between August and October 2014 in France, Germany, Italy, Spain, and the U.K. among 1,588 companies with over 10 employees. Results provided in this study refer exclusively to SMBs, with a total sample of 751 companies.
"Accessibility to corporate information is becoming a key priority for businesses of all class sizes, especially with the diffusion of the BYOD trend," said Andrea Minonne, research analyst, IDC European Industry Solutions. "Many Western European SMBs are providing employees with the opportunity to use their personal handheld devices for business purposes anytime anywhere. Orientation toward innovation and technology enables SMBs to address customer needs while gaining production efficiencies. On the other hand, mobile apps serve as an effective channel to deliver superior experience and guarantee customer connectivity. Apps represent an added value to companies' propositions, and they are a key factor for enterprise success especially for highly B2C verticals such as retail/wholesale and telecom."
