This which provides performance data for the Japan SMB IT market in 2015; forecasts for the same market from 2016 to 2020 by region and prefecture, with reference to product information resulting from vendor surveys up to March 2016; and the latest information on the state of the economy. The growth rate for the Japan SMB IT market is expected to remain flat in 2016, but steady expansion is expected in Tokyo. "It is crucial for IT suppliers to provide focused support for the expansion of strategic IT spending at user companies in regions outside of major metropolitan areas to prevent the polarization of IT spending trends in SMBs between major metropolitan areas and other regions," argues Hitoshi Ichimura, IT Spending research manager, IDC Japan.
