HEP Operator Prijenosnog Sustava Doo (HEP) is planning to undertake the construction of Kosinj/Senj Hydroelectric Power Plant in Lika-Senj County, Croatia.
The project involves the construction of a 412MW hydroelectric power plant.
It includes the construction of a reservoir, a powerhouse, spillways, penstocks, a substation, access roads, the installation of turbines, generators, transformers, the laying of transmission lines.
In August 2014, HEP invited Expression of Interest (EOI) for the development of the project on a design-build-operate-transfer basis for a period of up to 30 years, with December 18, 2014 as the submission date.
In April 2015, HEP initiated in the process of securing finance for the project through initial public offering (IPO).
HEP will commence in the environmental impact assessment (EIA) in 2017 and expected to receive the authority approval by the fourth quarter of 2017.
Then construction works will commence in 2019 after obtaining the building permit, resolving property and legal issues and securing financing and contracting works.
