Advanced Hydro Solutions LLC (AHS) is undertaking the construction of a hydroelectric power plant in Taylor County, West Virginia, the US.
The project involves the construction of a 30MW hydroelectric power plant on 3.2ha of land. It includes the construction of a new steel intake structure, a 36.8m long by 30m wide concrete powerhouse with two vertical generator units, a new excavated 18m wide by 48.7m long tailrace, two new switchyards, the installation of turbines and transformers, and the laying of a new 2.4km, 138kv transmission line.
On April 29, 2016, the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) issued the construction license to Tygart LLC, a subsidiary of AHS.
In May 2016, the FERC granted permission to build the project.
Planning activities are underway. Construction works on the project will commence subject to the necessary approvals.
