Worldwide Small, Medium-Sized, and Large Business Top Priorities: The Quest for Improved Efficiency
This IDC study examines the top business priorities identified by small, midsize, and large businesses in developed and developing regions, with country-level detail. Based on a survey of 2,189 SMBs in 7 countries, this study details the extent to which 10 top business priorities are cited for comparison by company size and geography.
"The varied nature of firms by size and geography ensures a high level of diversity in the prioritization of different business goals," noted Ray Boggs, vice president of SMB research at IDC. "But while revenue growth and improving efficiency/productivity are the most frequently cited objectives, the focus on revenue in smaller firms and in developing countries is no longer the story. IDC research found that improving productivity is an increasingly important objective independent of firm size or region, setting the stage for increased technology investment to support worker efficiency and effectiveness, especially mobile and remote workers."Please Note: Extended description available upon request.
