Abstract

This IDC Flash looks at Intuit's latest market entry and the overall market for payroll services to small businesses. On November 12, 2007, Intuit announced the launch of Intuit Online Payroll, a new, Web-based payroll solution for small businesses that are not currently QuickBooks users. This offering is designed to help new employers and other small businesses set up and run payroll easily and efficiently, replacing manual methods. Intuit Online Payroll builds on the company's lineup of payroll administration options purported to be in use by more than 1 million small businesses.
