It profiles a selection of the main players, analyzing their retention/acquisition strategies, products and services offering and their future strategies. Scope * The ultra high net worth market is explored in depth, covering environment, drivers and abundance. With profiles of the key wealth managers; * The UK UHNW market is forecasted out to 2007, taking into account hard economic and financial variables as well as soft social variables. Report Highlights The number of UHNWs has increased over the last five years, at a growth rate of 6.0% compounded annually. This is in stark contrast to liquid wealth held by those classed as ultra high net worth, which has hardly grown at all, with a compound annual growth rate of just 0.1%. The fact that the number of UHNWs has increased whilst the liquid assets owned by UHNWs has remained fairly constant has meant that average portfolios have decreased. In 1998, the average UHNW portfolio stood at GBP11.1m, whereas in 2002, it stood at only GBP8.8m, a decrease of 20.4% or 5.6% compounded annually. After 2003, UHNW liquid assets will increase steadily as a percentage of total liquid assets, rising from 3.8% in 2003 to 4.5% in 2007, as these more sophisticated investors see better returns in other investments on top of equity returns.
