Abstract

This IDC study examines different types of home offices and their preferences for printers and MFP brands and technology.

"Home office households and home-based businesses continue to represent an important opportunity for IT vendors," says Justin Jaffe, senior research analyst in IDC's Home Office Market program. "As home office households continue to add, replace, and upgrade printers and MFPs, it is important for vendors to understand the changing dynamics away from single-function printers in favor of multifunction devices and the increasing appeal of more sophisticated color laser/solid ink technology."
