WPPI Energy (WPPI) and NextEra Energy Resources (NER), a subsidiary of NextEra Energy, Inc. (NE) are planning to build a solar energy center in Two Rivers, Wisconsin, the US.
The project involves the construction of a 100MW solar energy center. It includes the construction of substations, the installation of solar panels, power cables, transformers and other related infrastructure, and the laying of transmission lines.
WPPI has entered into a 20-year power purchase agreement to buy the electricity from the solar energy center to serve its 51 member utilities and their customers across Wisconsin, Upper Michigan and Iowa.
