Tunur Ltd (a joint venture between London based Nur Energie Ltd and Tunisian based Top Group) is undertaking a solar power plant project in Kebili, Tunisia.
The project involves the construction of a 2,000MW concentrated solar power (CSP) plant, a powerhouse, substations, solar panel platforms, 2GW High Voltage Direct Current on-land and sub-marine cable from Tunisia to Italy and access roads, the installation of solar panels and generators, and the laying of transmission lines and other related facilities.
In June 2014, Low Carbon Company showed an interest in investing in the project.
