The National Thermal Power Corporation Ltd (NTPC) is planning to build a solar farm in Andhra Pradesh, India.

On March 22, 2016, NTPC invited bids for the selection of Solar Power Developers for setting up the first phase of the project, under OPEN Category vide on Single Stage Two Envelope Bidding Basis (Envelope-I: Technical Bids & Envelope-II: Financial Bid) followed by Reverse Auction from interested parties under NSM Phase-II, Batch-II, Tranche-I, with a submission due date on July 18, 2016. However, later the tenders were cancelled.

On October 27, 2016, NTPC re-invited bids for the selection of Solar Power Developers for setting up the first phase of the project, under OPEN Category vide on Single Stage Two Envelope Bidding Basis (Envelope-I: Technical Bids & Envelope-II: Financial Bid) followed by Reverse Auction from interested parties under NSM Phase-II, Batch-II, Tranche-I, with a submission due date on December 7, 2016.

The participated bidders for the first phase are: Ostro Energy, Canadian Solar Energy, Greenko Energies, Azure Power, Mahoba Solar, and Mahindra Renewables.

In April 2017, Solairedirect won a contract to develop the first phase of the project.
