K Clean Energy Nara Corp (KCENC), a joint venture of ORIX Corporation and Kyudenko Corporation is undertaking the construction of a solar power plant in Tenri, Nara Prefecture, Japan.
The project involves the construction of a 23MW solar power plant on 24.6ha land. It includes the construction of a substation and related infrastructure, the installation of 90,440 solar panels, generators and transformers, and the laying of transmission lines.
The project is owned by KCENC, in which ORIX Corporation has a 70% stake and Kyudenko Corporation holds the remaining 30%.
Kyudenko Corporation will be responsible for the construction and operations and maintenance of the site.
On February 1, 2015, construction works commenced.
