Haryana Energy Development Agency (HAREDA) is planning to build a solar power park in Haryana, India.

The project involves the construction of a 500 MW solar power park. It includes the construction of production units, processing units, warehouses, an administrative space, a testing unit and related infrastructure, and the installation of machinery and equipment.

In January 2016, the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) granted approval to develop the project.

The MNRE has asked HAREDA to prepare a detailed project report following which the final formalities for the tendering and implementation will take place.

On March 17, 2016 a Special Purpose Vehicle(SPV) is formed by Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation (HSIIDC) and Haryana Power Generation Corporation Limited (HPGCL) for setting up of solar parks in Haryana. The SPV is Saur Urja Nigam Haryana Limited (SUN Haryana).

As of May 2016, land has been identified at Bugan in Hisar district, Baralu and Singhani in Bhiwani district and Daukhera in Mahindergarh district. Exact Location has yet to be finalized. 0.03 USD$ has been granted under solar park scheme.
