Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) is planning to develop a geothermal power plant in Mount Ceremai, West Java, Indonesia.
The project involves the construction of 110MW geothermal power plant. It includes the construction of a powerhouse, a substation, access roads and related infrastructure, the installation of turbines and generators, and the laying of transmission lines.
In 2011, Chevron became the sole participant in the tender process and then set as the preferred bidder for the project. However, companies from the United States withdrew from the development and the project was faced oppositions for the local people, ESDM plans to re-issue the tender.
On November 17, 2016, Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) issued tender for the developer.
