CK Solar Korea (CK Solar) is planning to undertake the construction of a power plant in Quetta, Balochistan, Pakistan.
The project involves the construction of a 300MW solar power plant on 607ha of land. It is being executed in six phases of 50MW each. It includes the construction of substations and other related facilities, the installation of solar panels, and the laying of transmission lines.
Government of Balochistan had already acquired 607ha of land in Khuchlak and Pishin on lease for the project.
On August 09, 2012, CK Solar, Department of Energy and Government of Balochistan signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for the project development.
On December 15, 2013, a mutual agreement was signed between CK Solar and Government of Balochistan.
In-house division of CK Solar will undertake the construction works of the project.
