Stimulation Fluid Additives Procurement in the US
This report is intended to assist buyers of stimulation fluid additives, which are chemicals diluted in a solution of water and proppants, which are solids such as sand or ceramic used to keep fractures open, to create a large volume of stimulation fluid. A combination of stimulation fluid additives is used during well stimulation operations, which include hydraulic fracturing and matrix acidizing. The primary buyers are oil and natural gas well operators, or oil and natural gas field services providers. Less commonly, additives are used in mining operations and for water well drilling operations to helpdissolve various sediment, such as limestone, dolomite and calcite, to promote greater efficiency in well flow. Hydraulic fracturing services and matrix acidizing services are excluded from this report.
