Automated Software Quality Vendor Profile: Combining Product Portfolio, Microsoft Evolves Quality StrategyPublished by: IDC Published: Dec. 2, 2012 - 7 Pages Table of Contents
AbstractThis IDC Vendor Profile is one in a series of IDC documents that examine automated software quality (ASQ) solutions and provides both vendor analysis and customer reference context for technology adoption. This Vendor Profile assesses the ASQ strategy and position of Microsoft, a vendor targeting the load testing, analytics, and mainframe testing arenas. Here, we discuss Microsoft's Visual Studio 2010 and 2012 products. Microsoft's ubiquity as a development platform that leverages SharePoint as a collaborative framework that also enables coordination with Microsoft Project's PPM and IT PPM capability positions the company well across several categories of ASQ analysis. We position Microsoft within this product category and relative to trends in user adoption for the dynamic load testing for the ASQ SaaS and cloud and enterprise ASQ markets. We do so in the context of an overall economy that remains volatile and demands efficient access to software quality and deployment. We also include summaries of two Microsoft customer references — a major automotive company and a systems integrator (SI). Get full details about this report >> |
