Yaskawa Electric Corporation (Yaskawa), through its subsidiary Yaskawa Ristro is planning to build an industrial robots factory in Kocevje, Slovenia.
The project involves the construction of an industrial robots factory with an initial capacity of 4,000 robots per year. It includes the construction of production units, warehouses, an office space, testing units, and the installation of machinery and equipment.
On February 24, 2017, Yaskawa signed an agreement for the purchase of land in Slovenia's southern municipality of Kocevje.
Yaskawa is currently in the process of obtaining the construction permit. Subsequent to this, construction work is expected to commence in the fourth quarter of 2017 with completion scheduled by the fourth quarter of 2018.
