Vietnam's Ministry of Transport (MoT) is planning to undertake the Ring Road IV project in Hanoi, Vietnam.
The project involves the construction of a ring road with the total length of 98km with six-lanes, running through four cities under provinces of Hanoi, Hung Yen, Bac Ninh and Bac Giang. The project will cover 1,230ha area, including 740ha in Ha Noi, 230ha in Hung Yen and 260ha in Bac Ninh.
The project will be implemented in phases. First phase of the project includes the construction of a 15km road from Phap Van - Cau Gie highway to Ha Noi - Hai Phong highway. The value of this phase is US$210 million.
The road will have standards for level A expressway, with width of 120m, six-lanes for designed speed of 100km per hour. The project also includes the construction of three bridges over the river and also additional 40 bridges.
The project will be developed on Build-Operate-Transfers (BOT) mode. It was approved by the Government of Vietnam on July 29, 2011.
The total investment capital for this project will be raised from various sources, including state budget, government guaranteed bonds, ODA, local budget, and private capital.
In March 2016, detailed deployment plans approved.
Hanoi Urban Planning Institute is undertaking design activities.
T&T Group's Joint Stock Company and Phu My Infrastructure Construction Company have submitted their proposals to build the first 15km section.
Bid evaluation and design activities are underway.
