Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (MEMR) is undertaking an oil terminal in Amman, Jordan.
The project involves the construction of an oil terminal with a total capacity of 340,000MTPA for petroleum products such as gasoline, diesel and jet fuel and a 10,000MTPA for liquefied petroleum gas.
It includes the construction of compressor units, storage tanks and access roads and the installation of pipelines, safety and automated security systems.
The project is funded by a grant from the Abu Dhabi Fund for Development.
MEMR issued tenders for the project and secured 51 bidders out of which 13 companies were shortlisted and OHL Industrial S.L.U and MID Contracting Company LLC were selected.
In September 2014, an agreement was signed, by MEMR with OHL Industrial S.L. and MID Contracting Company LLC for building the terminal.
MEMR appointed ILF Consulting Engineers, to provide consultation and supervisory works.
In September 2016, construction of the LPG spheres completed.
