Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Modena (FCRM) is planning to undertake the construction of a cultural complex in Emilia-Romagna region, Italy.
The project involves the construction of a 23,000m2 cultural auditorium complex. It includes the construction of entertainment space, administrative space, parking and related facilities.
In 2007, Ministry of Culture (MoC), City of Modena and FCRM entered into a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for the development of the project.
In 2009, a design competition was initiated for the selection of an architect. Subsequently, a consortium of Gae Aulenti Architects Associates and Studio Associato Arch Francesco Doglioni & Arch Renata Daminato was appointed as architect.
In the fourth quarter of 2013, FCRM received in-principle approvals from MoC for the project.
In September 2013, FCRM invited tenders for the construction of the project. Subsequently, Consorzio Cooperative Costruzioni (CCC), Coopcostruttori, Strabag SpA presented bids for the development.
On July 22, 2014, a consortium of Consorzio CME and Iti Impresa Generale spa, led by CCC were appointed as contractors.
In December 2016, city council approved the redevelopment of the project.
