Department of Social Development (DSD) and North Down Borough Council (NDBC) are planning to undertake the Bangor Queen’s Parade Town Center project in Bangor, County Down, the UK.

The project involves the regeneration of Queen's Parade into a mixed-use facility.

The project will include the construction of 21,925m2 area retail facility with 60 units, 4,923m2 area office facility, 200 residential units, 72 apartments, eight terraced houses, a 80 bed hotel, a 400-seat arts and performance theater and a multi-storey car park, and the installation of elevators and safety systems.

In December 2009, Karl Greenfarm Properties consortium (Karl Construction, Greenfarm Properties Ltd, and Mar Properties Ltd) was selected as preferred developer of the regeneration scheme.

The project outlined by Karl Greenfarm Properties (KGP), has been delayed repeatedly, with the most recent setback revealed earlier 2012, linked to the company's need to purchase nearly a dozen properties along the seafront area.

A development agreement between KGP and DSD was expected to be signed in the second quarter of 2012, but the timetable slipped again.

On December 5, 2012, DSD has agreed to buy the site off from the developer KGP to take direct control of plans.

Turley Associates and GM Design Associates were appointed as the design consultant.

In June 2014, DSD performed a public consultation, which was carried out by a group called "For A Better Bangor" (FABB).

In March 2015, DSD and NDBC secured planning approval.

Beannchor was appointed as an associate developer to develop a four-star 80-room hotel.

Cubic3 was appointed as the associate developer. Angelvale Consortium, supported by FaulknerBrowns Architects and led by Cubic3 was appointed as the master planner. Richard Murphy Architects, Hamilton Architects and Arup Consulting Engineering are appointed as architects.

Construction of the project is expected to commence in 2018.
