College of Lake County (CLC) is planning to undertake the expansion of its Lakeshore Campus in Waukegan, Lake County, Illinois, the US.
The project involves the expansion of a college campus. It includes the construction of a six-story, 4,932m2 tower, a 130m2 student lounge in the renovated 111 N Genesee building, a pedestrian mall from Genesee to Sheridan, a 186m2 snack bar along the mall, a 670m2 enrollment center/student services office on the first floor, 12 classrooms, a 659m2 library, parking and related facilities.
On April 16, 2012, Legat Architects was appointed as architect for the project.
On November 29, 2012, CLC Board approved the campus master plan.
In July 2014, State of Illinois approved US$36 million in funding for the project and rest US$12 million will be barred by CLC.
In August 2016, the project was put on hold due to state funding issues.
In November 2016, CLC restarted the project plans.
Planning activities are underway.
