Carroll County Health Services Corporation (CCHSC) and LifeBridge Health (LBH) are planning to expand a hospital in Westminster, Carroll County, Maryland, the US.
The project involves the construction and renovation with the development and expanding of medical services at the 193-bed Carroll Hospital Center. It includes the construction of a neonatal care unit, an ambulatory care center, surgery units, treatment rooms, outpatient services and related facilities.
On November 6, 2014, CCHSC and LBH signed a letter of intent for CCHSC to become a subsidiary of LBH.
On March 27, 2015, CCHSC approved an affiliation agreement with LBH to offer new services and expanded care for the residents of Carroll County and the greater Baltimore region.
Under the terms, LBH will invest US$250 million to build and renovate facilities and to expand medical services at the hospital.
Planning activities are underway. Ground breaking ceremony is expected to be held in July 2017.
