Augusta University Medical Center (AUMC) is planning to undertake the construction of a healthcare facility in Georgia, the US.
The project involves the construction of a two-story hospital comprising 100 beds on 33.2ha of land. It includes the construction of 18-bed emergency department, six operating rooms, 24 dedicated intensive care, 76 medical-surgical rooms, pre- and post-anesthesia care units, an administrative facility, parking facilities and related facilities.
In May 2014, AUMC filed a letter of intent with Georgia Department of Community Health for the development of the project.
In June 2014, AUMC has filed a certificate of need (CON) for the project.
In November 2014, the CON was denied by the Georgia Department of Community Health.
In May 2016, a new CON has been filed.
As of July 2017, the project is facing delay due to legal issues.
The project involves the construction of a hospital building comprising 100 beds on 33.2ha of land at 5001 Gateway Boulevard at Evans in Augusta, Georgia, the US.
