In this 6th installment of the Annual Air Mission Planning Conference, the emphasis shall be on the expanding challenges facing defence and how there is a greater need for Mission Planning capability to advance to the next generation of defence requirements. Mission Planning has matured significantly from its early roots as a way to strategise missions and load them swiftly into a fighter jet, to the current need to enable seamless access to the Digital Battlespace, not only during the Planning Phase, but also throughout the mission and the post-flight debrief. However, this transformation into a vital component of coalition interoperability has not come without its challenges, specifically security, connectivity, and bandwidth. This conference will review the development of Mission Planning and look at the huge potential, and challenges, facing the next stage of development into Full Mission Support capability.
