Western Europe MFP Installed Base and Page Volumes, 2016–2021

The installed base and page volumes printed by consumers and businesses are declining as the need for the printed page in many circumstances is reducing as factors such as digitization are taking priority in many environments. This naturally leads to a decline in hardware shipments which in turn leads to fewer pages being printed. It is not all bad news as those vendors that took the decision to invest more resources into areas such as business inkjets, color, and in some cases production are seeing their revenue streams shift to profitable areas, said Phil Sargeant, program director, Imaging Hardware and Document Solutions.
