Japan IT Spending Trends by Vertical Segment and Company Size, 2017

This IDC study presents IT spending performance in 2015 and 2016, as well as IT spending forecast from 2017 to 2021 in the Japan IT market by industry segment and company size. For market analysis and forecast purposes, IDC classifies the industry segments into 17 commercial segments and four noncommercial segments and the company sizes into five sizes. In addition into detailing the changes in IT spending in each industry segment according to the 12 product segments and the four company sizes, this study also presents topics and background analyses in IT spending trends in each industry segments. Beginning with this study, IDC breaks down further the industry segments (from 18 segments previously to 21) and the company sizes (from four sizes previously to five). IDC also introduces IT spending trends seen in the relevant industry segments. IDC predicts that driven by segments, such as smartphones, the Japan IT market will grow positively in 2017 and continue to grow steadily until 2019. "User companies are actually utilizing innovation accelerators to solve their management issues.
