Asia/Pacific (Excluding Japan) Cloud IT Infrastructure Hardware Spending Forecast, 2017–2022
This IDC study provides an aggregated APEJ forecast for spending on cloud IT infrastructure hardware (server, storage systems, and network devices across public and private clouds as well as traditional IT environments). This document also assesses the impact of cloud (public and hosted private) on the location (on-premise versus off-premise) and ownership of IT infrastructure in the next five years. For detailed information on spending for each segment (server, storage, and network) and within each region, refer to IDC's Worldwide Quarterly Cloud IT Infrastructure Tracker and Forecast data set, with double counting of storage for internal server storage removed."As the adoption of public cloud services and private cloud deployments continues to spread around the world, replacing traditional on-premise hardware-centric IT settings, the overall market spending on servers, storage, and networking will follow this move. The industry is getting closer to the point when cloud deployments will account for a majority of spending on IT infrastructure, which will be a major milestone embracing the benefits of service-centric IT," says Chris Morris, VP for IDC APEJ Cloud Services and Technology Research.
