This IDC Perspective explores the ways in which today's world of IT abundance influences and challenges organization's abilities to digitally transform. As well as making the promise of digital transformation widely achievable, today's world of technology abundance has also created a perfect storm of challenges. New competitors are setting industry agendas and putting pressure on established businesses to transform; new platforms create complexity; talent is hard to find, and new talent is increasingly calling the shots regarding transformation tools and approaches; and many existing enterprise IT leaders are having to re-educate themselves while demand for application delivery grows."In the developed economies of European countries at least, businesses and individuals today live in a world of technology abundance.
