An Assessment of the Transition in Health Care Provision across the Big 5 Western European Countries
Initial research was carried out to define the scope of the study and identify the key areas of focus, notably the shift of care from hospitals to primary care and long-term care/homecare (LTC/HC) settings, the changing funding patterns, and resource utilisation across countries.
Secondary research sources, such as in-house databases, Frost & Sullivan’s Decision Support Databases, individual country health ministry and statistical data, journal articles, and country-specific health system annual reports, were used for data gathering.
The objective of this research service is to present a comprehensive analysis of Europe’s Big 5 Health Systems in transition and assess trends to understand the key opportunity areas for health care firms offering products and solutions.
The study also covers changing patient demographics, reduced budgets, the reshaping of health care strategies, and funding at a country level.
