Wesley Mission Victoria (WMV), Wesley Church Melbourne (WCM) and Uniting Church (UC) are planning to build an office tower in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.

The project involves the construction of a 33-story commercial office tower on 53,000m2 area. It will include the refurbishment of the Wesley Church, the manse to become a cafe, the school house to become a childcare centre and the caretaker’s cottage to a cafe, parking spaces of 494 units.

It also includes the construction of a 5-Star Green Star office, A-Grade commercial office tower, a dynamic Town Square, and a number of courtyard and garden spaces and the installation of elevators.

Project Control Group (PCG), Ernst & Young has been appointed as the consultants, JPMorgan Chase & Co. as financial advisor, Cox Howlett & Bailey Woodland (Cox Architecture) as the architect on the project. Developer will fund all the costs associated with the project.

Armitage Jones has been appointed as associate developer.

In third quarter of 2014, the Synod Standing Committee has approved final negotiations with Leighton Properties as the preferred developer for the project.

On July 8, 2014, Leighton Properties Pty Ltd, Mirvac Constructions Pty Ltd and Landcom were appointed as developers, Leighton Contractors as Contractor for the project.

In September 2014, UC has entered in to alliance with Leighton Properties to give 125-year lease on the land.

On April 17, 2016, approvals to demolish the heritage building, Princess Mary Club for the redevelopment are obtained. But the demolish works starts only after the approvals for Lonsdale Street office tower.

On April 26, 2016, victorian government given planning approvals for the proposed project.

Demolition activities are underway.
