Darmstadt City Council (DCC) is planning to undertake the renovation of the Merck-Stadion am Böllenfalltor football stadium with seating capacity of 19,350 spectators in Darmstadt, Hesse, Germany.
The project involves the construction of multifunctional complex, training centers, a commercial facility on 1,620m2 gross floor area, a bar, an event facility, sports facilities, chaining rooms, seating rooms for players, officers and polices and parking facilities and installation of LED modules video panels.
In July 2014, Merck Gruppe signed an agreement with DCC, that Merck will provide US$4 million to DCC per year, which will be considered as part of the financing plan for the renovation of the stadium.
MERCK- Millipore is a unit of Merck Gruppe, will provide LED video panel for Stadion am Böllenfalltor project; and the football stadium will be named as Merck-Stadion am Böllenfalltor for five years.
