In August 2015, shortlisted architects submitted their schemes for the project.
In January 2016, Heneghan Peng Architects was appointed as architect for the project.
In May 2016, CCM unveiled the design concept of the project.
In February 2017, Government of Canada granted US$1.4 million for the development of the project.
Pre-design activities are underway.
