Chileans opted to scrap a two-year constitutional process, with 62% of voters rejecting the left-leaning constitution in the referendum. The decision came as a blow to President Gabriel Boric, who reacted by reshuffling the cabinet to build a stronger coalition in congress. Boric wants to push a more moderate constitution in place of the current one. With political uncertainty high, however, investors are likely to remain on hold until the economic environment becomes clearer.
