Description

An oversupply of oil will stifle Angola's economic growth next year. Sustained increases in oil production by major producers have weighed on oil prices in 2025, and the downward trend is expected to continue in 2026. We currently project that Brent crude prices will average $64 pb in 2026, with Angola's oil-dependent economy growing at a modest 2.8%. However, there are notable downside risks to our oil-price outlook, and new developments could drive Brent crude prices – and by extension, real GDP growth – much lower next year.
