Germany's industrial production rebounded strongly in March, making quarterly growth positive for the first time in two years. The fact that growth was broad-based is good news. But as this largely reflects the front-loading of purchases in the US ahead of the tariffs, with particularly strong rises in autos and pharma production, it is too early to celebrate a turnaround.
