Unstable Trend of the Military Expenditure in Some Nations
The military expenditure in many countries is not constant. The US, China, Saudi Arabia, Russia, and the United Kingdom were among the top nations in terms of military spending in 2016. Improvement in the Range and Accuracy of the Mortar
The mortar has always been a sought piece of artillery by the infantry. This is because the mortars are comparatively simple, portable, and can be controlled at the battalion level. However, these weapons are not fairly accurate, and the range is limited. With the help of recent technological improvements, smarter mortars are being manufactured with new capabilities. The US Army Armament Research, Development, and Engineering Center at Picatinny Arsenal, New Jersey introduced the Ammunition Resupply Projectile (ARP), a hollow mortar round that can be packed with ammunition rounds for the Army's M4A1 carbine. This new invention has the tail section secured to the payload deployment section, which includes a steerable decelerator system.
In light of the ongoing research activities in developing mortar accuracy and range, the market for mortar ammunition is anticipated to grow at a considerable rate over the forecast period.
