This IDC study presents the U.S. wearable computing device forecast update for the 2022–2026 period."The past two years have propelled the U.S. wearables market to unprecedented levels, thanks to strong demand for earwear — by far the most popular wearable in the market. The coming years will see demand cooling off and move toward replacement opportunities," says Ramon T. Llamas, research director for IDC's Wearables team. "This is why we are anticipating a decline from 2022 levels. But from there, expect flat to slight growth in the years to come as replacements and sustained demand for smartwatches continue to buoy the market."
