HPE Accelerating its Cloud28+ European Cloud InitiativeThis IDC Flash discusses Hewlett Packard Enterprise's (HPE's) Cloud28+ Acceleration event, held in Amsterdam on May 19, which gathered both existing and potential partners within the community. Cloud28+ was born out of an initiative spearheaded by HPE to create a cloud community of European cloud service providers (CSPs), ISVs, and resellers, putting in place a common framework to promote cloud adoption in Europe. As its name suggests, it covers all the 28 European Union countries and was originally centered around the HPE Helion OpenStack platform. A key announcement was that it was now extending to support Microsoft Azure, VMware, Docker, among other technologies. Others included extending the Cloud28+ services catalogue into a Service Hub with an App Center, including a recruitment and onboarding drive for ISVs, and a Service Center where companies can position their integration, implementation, and managed services for cloud.
