The update, released on March 24, 2026, is notable because the authority had not published this figure since 2018.According to the WIPO, Global Innovation Index (2025), Venezuela was ranked 138th out of 139 nations in 2025 on the infrastructure parameter.
The IBVC Index exhibited a fluctuating trend over the past year. As of April 1, 2026, the index stood at 6,349.8 compared to 230.6 on April 1, 2025.
