Czech's Railway Infrastructure Administration or Správa železnicní dopravní cesty (SZDC) is undertaking the upgrade of the second stage of a railway line between Prague Hostivar and Prague Main Railway Station in the Czech Republic.
The project involves the construction of a 9km railway track. It includes the construction of a new railway station (Prague Zahradni Mesto) and one train stop (Prague Eden), as well as underpasses, bridges, one tramway stop and related infrastructure and facilities.
The project also includes the reconstruction of two railway stations (Prague Hostivar and Prague Vrsovice).
Metrostav Praha a.s. has been appointed as architect.
In December 2007, ECO-ENVI-Consult delivered the environmental study for the project.
In 2011 Sudop Praha was selected as a lead design consultant to prepare the documentation required to secure all permits. The documentation was delivered in 2012.
In August 2014, SZDC called a tender for additional work on the documentation for the project. The tender was won by Sudop Praha in November 2014.
In March 2015, SZDC is in the process of completing the documentation for engineering and is also in the process of securing construction permits.
Viamont DSP a.s., Eurovia CS, A.S and GJW Praha spol. s ro have been appointed as supply contractors.
On November 27, 2015, SZDC announced tender for heavy and civil engineering construction with submission deadline is February 2, 2016.
In November 2016, reconstruction of Prague Hostivar railway station has been completed.
Construction works are underway.
