Bahrain's economic outlook was revised upward, incorporating the latest 2024 UN population projections. These projections suggest a surge in migration and a significant expansion of the working-age population. This demographic boost is expected to drive workforce growth, foster innovation, and accelerate sectoral diversification. As a result, Bahrain's GDP growth is now forecasted at 2.8% for the year. This growth will be underpinned by the strong performance of the non-oil sector, which contributed to 86% of GDP in Q1 after a 3.3% increase.
