Analysis by Region - Emerging Markets - Chile
Description
For 2025, we've kept our Chilean GDP growth forecast at 2.4%, with the latest central bank projections increasingly converging toward our view. A rebound in investment has stimulated domestic demand, offsetting the drag from net exports. Accordingly, we expect solid growth in Q3 but some deceleration toward year-end due to base effects. We remain confident in our 2.2% GDP growth forecast for 2026, supported by positive investment prospects, a buoyant tourism sector, and resilient household consumption. Nonetheless, global trade tensions continue to pose a downside risk to the outlook.
