While the phenolic antioxidants' efficiency is slightly lower than amine types due to hydrogen atoms readily reacting with atmospheric oxygen, their low discoloration effect makes them especially suitable for use in light-colored rubber products. As such, they are widely applied in rubber items requiring good appearance and stability, such as cables, medical rubber, and latex goods.
