Unlike conventional FTIR instruments, the vacuum type design introduces a vacuum environment into the optical path system, which can effectively avoid the interference of water vapor and carbon dioxide in the air, improve the signal-to-noise ratio and detection sensitivity in the low wave number region (especially in 400-600 cm⁻¹), and is suitable for high-sensitivity analysis of trace samples and trace components.
