Quartz rings are a special industrial technical glass made of silicon dioxide. Quartz rings are resistant to high temperatures, corrosion, good light transmittance, moisture and explosion proof. Quartz rings have unique optical properties and are excellent materials for ultraviolet light. They can transmit far ultraviolet light, visible light and near infrared spectra.

Quartz rings have the characteristics of high temperature resistance, small thermal expansion coefficient, good chemical stability coefficient, and the bubbles, stripes, homogenization and birefringence of quartz rings can be compared with ordinary light rings. In general, quartz rings can work with high stability optical coefficients in various harsh occasions, and it is an indispensable optical material.

Quartz rings have a series of excellent physical and chemical properties, such as:

1. High temperature resistance. The softening point of quartz glass is about 1730℃, and it can be used for a long time at 1100℃, and the short-term high temperature can reach 1450℃.

2. Corrosion resistance. Except for hydrofluoric acid, quartz glass hardly reacts chemically with other acidic substances. Its acid resistance is 30 times that of ceramics and 150 times that of stainless steel. Especially its chemical stability at high temperature is unmatched by any other engineering material.

3. Good thermal stability. The thermal expansion coefficient of the adapted glass is extremely small, and it can withstand drastic temperature changes. When the quartz glass is heated to about 1100℃, it will not burst even if it is placed in normal temperature water.

4. Good light transmittance. Quartz rings have good light transmittance in the entire spectrum band from ultraviolet to infrared, and the visible light transmittance is above 93%, especially in the ultraviolet spectrum region, the maximum transmittance can reach above 80%.
