The multifunctional fluorescence microplate reader is a high-end bioanalytical instrument that integrates multiple optical detection technologies. It is based on the principle of enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) and expands it. Through precise optical systems and advanced signal processing technology, it can achieve high-sensitivity and high-specificity detection of multiple optical signals in biological samples. The instrument is usually equipped with a high-energy xenon lamp or halogen lamp as a light source. Combined with a filter or grating system, it can accurately select and output excitation light of a specific wavelength to excite fluorescent substances, chemiluminescent substances or colorimetric substrates in the sample, and then detect its emission light or absorbance signal. It can not only perform traditional colorimetric detection (such as absorbance measurement in ELISA), but also carry out fluorescence intensity detection (FI), fluorescence polarization detection (FP), time-resolved fluorescence detection (TRF), chemiluminescence detection (CL) and bioluminescence resonance energy transfer detection (BRET) and other advanced optical detection modes, providing strong technical support for biomedical research, drug screening, clinical diagnosis and other fields.
