Medical Radioactive Microsphere Injection is a radioactive therapeutic drug that uses vascular intervention to deliver microspheres (usually with a particle size of microns) loaded with radionuclides (such as yttrium [90Y], etc.) directly to the tumor blood supply artery or lesion site. This drug uses the difference in blood supply distribution between tumor tissue and normal tissue to selectively aggregate microspheres at the tumor site, and kills tumor cells at close range through the beta rays released by the decay of radionuclides in the microspheres, while reducing damage to surrounding normal tissues. It has the dual effects of internal radiotherapy and embolization, which can significantly improve the local control rate of tumors and prolong patient survival. It is suitable for the treatment of solid tumors such as primary liver cancer that cannot be surgically removed and liver metastasis of colorectal cancer.
