Global Low Frequency RFID Tag Market Growth 2025-2031
Description
The global Low Frequency RFID Tag market size is predicted to grow from US$ 567 million in 2025 to US$ 937 million in 2031; it is expected to grow at a CAGR of 8.7% from 2025 to 2031.
The impact of the latest U.S. tariff measures and the corresponding policy responses from countries worldwide on market competitiveness, regional economic performance, and supply chain configurations will be comprehensively evaluated in this report.
Low-frequency RFID tags are radio frequency identification tags with a main operating frequency of 125kHz or 134.2kHz. They are one of the oldest and most mature technology categories in the RFID system. Its core principle is to exchange data with the reader/writer at a close distance through low-frequency electromagnetic induction. It has good anti-interference performance and penetration, especially in metal or water-containing environments. Compared with high-frequency and ultra-high-frequency tags, low-frequency RFID tags have a shorter recognition distance (usually between 1cm and 10cm) and a lower data transmission rate, but their reading stability is strong and not easily affected by environmental changes. Most low-frequency tags are passive, do not require a built-in power supply, have a relatively low cost, and have a lifespan of several years or even more than ten years, making them suitable for long-term applications. With the development of Internet of Things technology, although high-frequency and ultra-high-frequency RFIDs dominate many emerging fields, low-frequency RFIDs still maintain a stable market demand in specific vertical fields due to their mature technology and strong environmental adaptability.
